אחד ההיבטים החשובים ביותר של יצירת כלבי נחייה איכותיים הוא שיפור וגיוון גרעין הרבייה שלנו. לצורך כך, בתי ספר ברחבי העולם מחליפים ביניהם כלבים, גורים, וחומר גנטי כדי להבטיח תכונות גנטיות מגוונות באיכות גבוהה.
כחלק ממעמצים עלה, ארבעה גורים הגיעו ארצה השבוע. ארבעת ה"עולים החדשים" הם מייזי, וולרי, וואי, ומילו. הגורים הגיעו מהארגון לכלבי נחייה באנגליה, והם הגיעו בטיסה מלונדון כאשר הם מלווים על ידי מרטין סיגל, יו"ר ארגון הידידים שלנו בבריטניה. הם רק בני שלושה חודשים, אבל אנו מקווים שיהיה להם עתיד מוצלח ככלבי נחייה או ככלבי רבייה אצלנו.

One of the most important aspects of producing high-quality guide dogs is to improve and diversify our breeding stock. For this reason guide dog schools throughout the world often exchange dogs, puppies, and genetic material to ensure high quality diverse genetic characteristics.
As part of this effort, this week four new "olim" arrived in Israel. The four young immigrants are Mazie, Valerie, Vy, and Milo. The four puppies came from the Guide Dog Association in Great Britain, and they arrived from London accompanied by Martin Segal, Director of our U.K. Friends. They're only three months old, but we hope they will have a promising future as guide dogs or as breeding dogs here at the Center.
We want to extend a big thank you to Martin Segal for bringing them, to El Al for flying the dogs to Israel, and to all the puppy raisers and volunteers who made their arrival possible!
