Graduates of the Center at the Paralympic Games בוגרי המרכז במשחקים הפראלימפיים

אנו גאים לראות את בוגרי המרכז ואנשים אחרים עם עיוורון מייצגים את ישראל במשחקים הפרלימפיים בסיאול! בין בוגרי המרכז שהשתתפו במשחקים בתחומי ספורט שונים: שלמה לזמי, גדי ירקוני, ואבי סולומון. גולת הכותרת הייתה הזכייה של הנבחרת הפראלימפית בכדור-שער שזכתה באליפות העולם. נבחרת הנשים של ישראל הביסה 1:4 את סין בגמר וזכתה במדליית הזהב בכדור-שער לבעלי מוגבלות ראייה. כתוצאה מכך, הנבחרת הבטיחה את מקומה במשחקים הפראלימפיים בריו. במשחק הגמר גברה הנבחרת הישראלית 1:4 על סין. בדרך לגמר הקבוצה ניצחה ברבע הגמר נגד בריטניה ובחצי הגמר נגד הקבוצה הקנדית. בצילום רואים בין השאר את ליהי בן דוד, ביתו של איציק בן דוד, בוגר המרכז. מצורף הקישור למאמר על ניצחון הקבוצה ב-ויינט ושירת "התיקווה" בטכס הענקת המדלייה! http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-4658083,00.html

We are proud to see graduates of the Center and other blind and visually impaired Israelis representing Israel at the Paralympic Games in Seoul, Korea. Among the graduates of the center who participated in
various sports events were Gadi Yarkoni, Shlomo Lazmi, and Avi Solomon. The climax of the week's events was the women's goal ball team, who won the gold medal and earned the world championship! The team defeated the Chinese team with a score of 4:1, earning a gold medal and the right to continue on to the Paralympic Games in Rio next year! The team won the quarterfinals against Great Britain and the semifinals against Canada on its way to victory.
